Free Abdoul Aziz Goma!

Abdoul Aziz Goma has been in prison now in Togo for more than three years. Due to the brutal conditions which he experienced while in prison, his health has deteriorated significantly and he has lost the use of his legs. Goma, who is an Irish citizen, was arrested on 21 December 2018 while visiting Togo on business. He was falsely accused of attempting to destabilize the country as a result of his having associated with members of the opposition who were organizing a peaceful protest against the Togolese government. Goma was imprisoned, without trial, where he has been subjected to torture and cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment. Goma stated that his hands, feet and shins have been targeted , resulting in severe injuries to his back and feet which has confided him to a wheelchair.
