Yes, and I used Bill Maher as a specific example to prove my point. So far you have failed to provide an actual counterpoint. You resort to claiming that I can’t read what I write because insulting me is much easier than supporting your argument with facts.
As I pointed out in my piece, there are celebrities who are using their platform for this purpose, so Bill Maher’s claim that no one is speaking on this is factually wrong and I have no idea why you are defending him here. You aren’t even doing a good job with your defense because you’re ignoring most of what he said and most of what I wrote.
I haven’t insulted you once. If anything, I think I’ve been very respectful to you considering how condescending and disingenuous you have been throughout this whole exchange. For example, you are deliberately ignoring the fact that Bill Maher’s position was actually to pretend that no one is speaking on this issue. He then suggested that 100 celebrities should speak on it because they would have the respect of the people who are committing the crime, as if criminals will stop being criminals simply because a celebrity told them not to be. As I pointed out, there have been celebrities that have spoken out and it hasn’t done much because criminals do not respect celebrities in the way that Bill Maher seems to think.
